Our collection of great value 1 bedroom villas will suit couples who do not want to pay for empty bedrooms in a large villa. The majority of the villas in this category are larger villas with private pools that are offered at a discounted price during low and mid seasons to a couple using one bedroom only, (the other bedrooms would be closed off). We also have some charming 1 bedroom apartments close to the beach with shared pools, or without a pool.
Our 2 bedroom villas vary greatly in terms of size, privacy and price. We have everything from an absolutely charming and very private villa with stunning views and the largest pool of any villa in our portfolio, to spacious 3 floor townhouse villas 250m from the beach in Almyrida and with a shared pool, to a lovely bungalow in Kokkino Horio with panoramic sea and mountain views and a private pool, to a fantastic traditional house with a large private garden and pool just to the west of Chania, to villas with shared pools overlooking the sandy beaches and quaint fishing harbours in Kalives and Almyrida.
We have a very large selection of 3 bedroom villas and all but 1 have private swimming pools. Some of these villas are more spacious than others and the prices do vary as does the privacy factor. Some of our 3 bedroom villas are such good value (particularly during low season) that even couples can consider them whilst looking for the perfect holiday villa.
Larger families or groups will need a spacious villa with 4 or more bedrooms and plenty of living space. Our select group of larger villas include (but is not limited to) a villa with panoramic sea and mountain views, a games room and a completely self contained cottage, a sumptuous stone villa that has a completely private pool and the option of a self-contained apartment if extra space is needed, and two 3 bedroom villas that are side by side on a completely private plot of land, one of which is only rented as an addition to the main villa. The majority of our larger villas have an annexe building or apartment that are completely self-contained and perfect for families or large groups that have members who would like a little more privacy. During low season some of the larger properties can be rented out at a lower price without the inclusion of the annexe space.
Occasionally in life the old saying “you get what you pay for” is absolutely true, and it certainly is when it comes to our small selection of luxury villas. It is quite rare that we come across villas of such an incredibly high standard, and they therefore deserve a special mention. These magnificent villas are for discerning travellers only who are looking for only the very best in terms of quality and comfort.
Over the years I have been asked many times for villas that guarantee a high level of privacy, whilst not being too remote. The following villas are perfect for those clients who wish to escape from the crowds and to be able to sit by their pool and not be overlooked by all and sundry. These villas have more peaceful and secluded locations but will generally require car hire for ease of access to the nearby local amenities.

The Olive Branch is a popular and spacious stone villa with outstanding panoramic views which encompass all of Souda Bay, the Akrotiri Peninsula, Aptera Castle, and the White Mountains. Set on a hillside next to an olive grove on the outskirts of Plaka, this villa affords quick and easy access by foot to the excellent tavernas, cafes and shops in the village. The Olive Branch is much more roomy than your average 3 bedroom Cretan villa and has been built using pretty honey coloured local stone. It has wonderful traditional features such as stone arches and stone detailing around the windows, and wood beamed ceilings made from local cypress wood in the living area and all the bedrooms. The wonderful pool is fully tiled (not shown in the current photos) and the entire house and pool terrace is surrounded by a natural stone wall with black iron railings. There are flowerbeds dotted around the edge of the property which have a variety of plants which give a splash of colour, including mature bougainvillea, hibiscus, cacti, lavender, lemon verbena, margarita daisies, and geraniums.
A holiday to Crete can now be accessible to everyone – even those of us on a tight budget. I have selected the following properties to appeal to anyone who would like to enjoy the glorious Cretan sunshine, beaches, scenery and food, without breaking the bank! Many of these properties are within walking distance to the beach so that car hire is not necessary, and some have pools that are shared. I have also included a few properties that do not have pools but are close to the beach. These would also be ideal for a low cost holiday at the start or end of the season. Why risk having a rain soaked summer holiday in your home country when you can now afford to come to Crete where sun and sea are almost guaranteed?
For those of you who prefer not to have to drive very much, or even at all, whilst on holiday, I have chosen a lovely selection of properties that are within easy walking distance of the beach. These properties are also close to a variety of shops, cafes and tavernas, making them ideal for those of you who would like to have a drink with your meals out and not have to worry about driving home.
